LET’S WORK TOGETHER FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE
FOR COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION, TRUSTEE AREA 2
Endorsed by a broad coalition of community supporters, including the Santa Barbara Democratic Party, Assemblymember Gregg Hart, Board of Supervisors Laura Capps.
Candidate Statement
It has been my honor to serve on the Santa Barbara County Board of Education since August 2022. My professional and personal experience provides valuable perspectives to the board and the Santa Barbara County Education Office.
My background integrates experience from educational, business, creative and community endeavors. I seek connections between distinct sectors such as housing, the environment, education, and themes of belonging and creativity, to understand their collective impact on holistic and comprehensive youth development.
I have served in the non-profit and for-profit housing sector, focused on Transitional Age Youth in the early stages of my career, committed to sustainable environmental practices, supported creative expression through movement and visual arts, and most importantly, successfully partnered with educators on my daughter’s local public school educational journey as a working mother.
I believe that working together across sectors and communities, we can meet our educational needs and make a brighter future for our youth!
I would be honored to have your vote this November.
